pre-pubescent, adolescent, and God how I hated that word every time
my parents said it.

I have kids, I’ll make up a new definition for that time,
and save adolescence as a term to forever describe
romantic lovers who a still trying to figure out how to
fit into the shoes
of lovers who know. (what? I ask myself,
realizing that I’ve stopped looking for the answer
and actually don’t even really feel like focusing on the question)
